Namos project
The proposed project covers two areas within the same complex: a large space in front of the swimming pool and an internal courtyard used as a refreshment area. The spectacular view that characterizes the pool area and the need to reintroduce traditional local arcades in a contemporary way, suggested designing a mixed wood and steel structure. The basic structure is made of oak wood. Above it are grafted the slender steel profiles supporting the cantilevered roof. The choice of the Varia system fits perfectly within the design requirements by combining the Open system, which can offer perfect protection of the space from the sun and any rain, with the Run technology capable of completely packing the blades, freeing the covered space and offering a striking view to the sky
The second proposal, on the other hand, is set within a large courtyard surrounded by olive trees. The main supporting elements are made of oak. In this case the roof structure is made of aluminum tubulars carefully sized to support the three perimeter overhangs protecting the glazed surfaces. The effect of light and shadow created on the ground by the roofing blades allows for richer and more evocative scenery, making the rooms even more pleasant and convivial
